The North East Timber Trade Association (NETTA) represents companies in the North and East of England supplying timber and related products including importers, sawmillers, merchants, agents and builders merchants.

NETTA also has affiliated members in sectors associated with the timber trade such as shipping companies, ports and logistic
operations NETTA is part of the UK Timber Trade Federation and is a reliable first point of contact for anything to do with wood. The Association's activities include:-

liaising closely, through the TTF, with the government and the Central Point of Expertise (CPET) on the various certification schemes. Remember the Government buying departments are responsible for purchasing about 40% of the total UK timber consumption.

working with schools, colleges, universities and various local communities to ensure that the next generation is educated about timber.

organising seminars on a wide range of relevant topics and other events for members.
